We need ideas for the first HPN t-shirt.

You may not be a sports fan, but if you enjoy watching the development and growing stature of blogs, take a moment to read this article. In a nutshell a blogger covering the Edmonton Oilers was censored by the hockey team itself, and it’s gotten a fair amount of coverage in that neck of the woods.

As both the journalist and this blog post point out, the Oilers had every right to do what they did. Which actually makes this even more of a crucifixion. (Make sure you also read the original posts that are linked in the “Please read Berry’s rundown…” paragraph.)

And may I just point out that the Vancouver Canucks have gone above and beyond to make friends with bloggers? Take that, Alberta.

Alright, a “new feature” request if I may. Since we’re really big into comments, etc., can we get rid of “Recent Tags” and replace it with “Recent Comments”?

We’re back! I’m catching up on the blogs, and am not going to miss a good HPN post just because the news is a week old. So here it comes… first, blog stuff. According to the beleaguered Technorati’s sporadic “State of the Blogosphere” report:

Among those with advertising, the mean annual investment in their blog is $1,800, but it’s paying off. The mean annual revenue is $6,000 with $75K+ in revenue for those with 100,000 or more unique visitors per month.

To keep track of how we’re doing, I’ve added new Live statistics courtesy Woopra to the admin control panel.

I’ve scheduled posts for while I’m gone, so you don’t miss me. No, I’m not blogging on my honeymoon. Pretty weird anyway, though, eh?
